Plates illustrative of Ghalib’s Ghazals in colour and monochrome, all with captioned and decorated tissue guards. First issue binding of leather- textured cloth decorated in gilt. Many of the plates are foxed on the reverse with the pictorial side unblemished.

Condition- Hinges appear to be strengthened , first decorative end paper with a stain. Last end paper with a neat private library ink stamp on lower margins. Another page of Urdu text with a minor pin hole on lower blank margins. Original gilt decorative cloth with Mughal art motif, neat repair on spine split. Slight edge wear. Rarely found in this condition with captioned tissue guards intact. Rare.
